Well, I have booked a holiday, and I am going to need a decent bag to pack most of my gear into to so I can take it with me. At the moment, I have a very small shoulder bag that will hold 1 camera, spare batteries, flash cards and Flash. For most things I do this is big enough, as I generally put 1 camera in the bag and I am carrying the other one.

But, as I am flying, I need to be able to pack everything into a nice bag for the flight to and from and for lugging around and taking pics while I'm away.

I have been looking around for a few days and there is just so many different type of bags to choose from - hard plasic "pelican" cases and heaps of different backpacks. Well, I decided that I want a backpack, and I found a local shop that has a fairly big range to choose from. They were really good when I asked, and they suggested that if I wanted to, that I should bring all my gear in and sit down in the shop and pack it into different bags they have to find one that will hold it all.

I guess I know what I'll be doing as soon as I get all my gear together! This is the one advantage of buying something from a local shop I guess, you get to see it, touch it and poke and prod it before you but it! Yeah, I looked on the Internet and couldn't find a cheaper one anyway, so it is off to the shop sometime soon to grab a new bag.
