Yes, I am finally getting around to it - reading some books on photography that is!

I have never been one to read books on the subject but after hearing a lot of comments on a particular book I recently added it to my small collection.

Telephoto Landscapes

Whenever you think of taking a landscape photo you typically reach for your wide-angle lens. Well, Sometimes it is not necessary.

On a recent outing, it was a pretty bleak winters day - the sun was behind dark clouds all day and it threatened to rain, but I went out and hoped for some reasonable photos.

A walk in the Bush

I recently discovered a wonderful resource that I have started exploring. I found a website that lists 40 Great South Australia Short Walks and have been reading about them.

I used this list to "discover" the short walk I took a week ago to Morialta park and the Waterfall. See the post I made from last week.

When the everyday is more

After seeing a news report a couple of days ago I just had to wait until I could get to a place and look at something for myself.

We had a pretty bad storm a few days ago and the Storm caused a bit of damage to several Jetties that stretch out into the Gulf. What made it particularly bad was the fact that there was a very high tide that co-incided with a very low low pressure system.
