Earlier this afternoon, between the rain showers I went and had a go.

(More)Over the last few weeks, whenever possible, I have been using the widest possible angle that I have. I normally make use of the great zoom lens' that I have and find myself a convenient location and use the zoom.
This adds a whole new dimension to how you go about taking the actual picture!

Well, tonight we had that spectacular opportunity in the form of the Comet McNaught.
(More)January each year sees the Tour Down Under hit Adelaide and the surrounding area. The Tour is a 5 day cycling race that attracts riders from all ouver the World.
The Day before the actual tour starts there is a 50km street race called the Adelaide Classic. When the Classic was held a few days ago, I took a few photos.
(More)In my post a few days ago about filters I mentioned that I had a fair few photos from my holiday that were not real good. A lot had very little detail due to the very bright conditions in NZ.
Today, I grabbed one of the photos that I liked and spent a little bit of time working on it.
(More)I have been battling for a long time with my monitors. I run dual LCD monitors on my PC and when I am editing pictures I notice that there is a huge difference to the appearance of photos on each of the 2 monitors.
So, I treated myself to a little gift and purchased a little device that would help with calibrating my monitors.
(More)Most people get to see fireworks only a couple of times each year, and this also means that most people only get the opportunity to photograph them a couple of times a year!
Now, I have had a couple of goes at this now, and after getting nearly everything wrong the first time, the firworks on New Years eve were pretty easy!
